Jill: yes, you are correct that your social network can be used to generate more sales. However, you forgot to remind everyone that this is a two-edged blade. You are the link between many different types of people and if you are not careful, parts of your social network will abuse this "linkage" and use you to contact other parts of the network - this may be unwanted contact!

Careful consideration on how best to make use of this wonderful new tool is a must!

As a tool to drive traffic to your site and hopefully conversions, social media is all-powerful. The results can be confusing though, for instance StumbleUpon can drive huge traffic spikes that doesn't really convert.....
